In August, SAGENCYWA was recognised with the Community Impact Award at the 2026 Stirling Business Awards — and for us, the significance of the award went well beyond business recognition.
I created SAGENCYWA because I saw a gap in the way we respond to family and domestic violence.
Much of the conversation understandably focuses on victims and what happens after harm has occurred. Our work asks another important question: what if we can intervene with men earlier?
Through our men’s behaviour-change work, counselling and family safety support, we work with men to recognise harmful patterns, take responsibility for their behaviour and develop safer ways of relating to their partners and children.
Winning the Community Impact Award felt like recognition that prevention belongs in this conversation too — and that working directly with men, while maintaining accountability and keeping women and children’s safety at the centre, can be part of creating meaningful change.
